The Regular BatMon units are available in a 30A Size. This is the ideal size for monitoring general circuits found in a Campervan, Motorhome or even Caravan or Boat.
Consisting of a single integrated Device with integral Shunt, it is super easy to install just about anywhere you want within your Leisure Vehicle and lets you monitor how much power different things are using or how much power is being provided by charging devices such as Solar Panels.
The diagram on the left/above gives a few ideas of what you could use BatMon 30A for. If you have an Inverter , you may want to switch out the 30A BatMon on the Battery for a 300A version at a slightly higher cost (available in the store also).
The BatMon module is very simple to install and is absolutely a DIY project for just about anyone to do.
The BatMon App is available free of charge for Android or iPhone from the Play Store or Apple Store and is very simple to use. It is designed to be user-friendly and intuative, unlike some of the alternatives that just baffle with loads of options and menus for things you really don’t need!
As well as the actual BatMon unit for monitoring the Battery, you also get an external Temp Sensor (in addition to the standard integrated Temp Sensor) and an integral programmable relay that can be used to control external devices. What you use these for is only limited by your imagination!

Included in the package with each Batmon is the following:
- BatMon 30A with case
- External thermometer sensor
- Fused power lead
- 2 x M5 Nut, bolt and washers
BatMon is designed to be as accurate and affordable as possible. Due to ohms law, it makes sense that the lower the current rating of the current shunt then the more accurate the solution will be. However, it is essential that the BatMon installed in your system is sized correctly according to the installation. If you are in doub’t please consult an off-grid electrical specialist.
Each BatMon device is calibrated against a “Master” device ensuring they all report the same accurate readings.
