About the Orion XS
Engineered from the ground up, the Orion XS redefines DC-DC battery to battery charging. For perfect use in dual battery systems charged with an (intelligent) alternator.
This device not only ensures top-tier performance but also guarantees the safety of your system.
Stay in charge with configurable input and output currents and rest assured that your Orion XS will run at full capacity up to 40°C. The 98,5% efficient aluminium circuit board technology means less heat, without the need for fans.
As an integral part of your Victron system, the Orion XS offers full (remote) monitoring and control capabilities, giving you complete command of your device and system.
There are now two options in the Orion XS Range:
- The original Orion XS 12/12 DC-DC 50A Charger, suitable for the majority of setups where the Vehicle/Starter battery is a 12V unit and the Leisure/House is also a 12v unit
- the new Orion XS 1400 DC-DC Charger. This has the same power output as the original XS model, but has a wider Input and Output voltage range, so is suitable for charging from dissimilar voltages i.e. a 12V starter and 24V leisure, or a 24V starter and 12V leisure, as well as 12V either side, or indeed 24V each side.
With the added flexibility comes an added cost however, so the original XS is usually the cost-effective choice over the XS 1400
